About
Built around one idea: help should feel personal.
Composed Hearts is a home care and sitter service for families in Jefferson and St. Clair counties. We are not a national agency with a call center and a rotating roster.
We started here because the choice in front of most families felt wrong: either something clinical and expensive, or nothing at all. What people actually needed was simpler and harder to find. Someone patient to sit with their mother on a Thursday. Someone to cook a real dinner and put the kitchen back. Someone to drive their father to the cardiologist and remember what the doctor said.
So we do the everyday work, and we do it in the home. We call it composed because that is what families are reaching for: not perfection, just a household that still holds together when the week gets hard.
We are non-medical by design. We are companions, sitters, and helping hands. Your family and your physicians make the medical decisions. We make the days easier, and we tell you what we noticed.

The name
The name is a promise about demeanor, not about outcome. Calm, unhurried, steady company.
Four things we hold to.
Small on purpose
We take on a limited number of families so that the person on the schedule is someone we actually know, not a name filled in the night before.
One caregiver, kept
When a match works, we keep it. Familiarity is most of what makes care feel like care rather than a stranger in the hallway.
Plain words
No clinical jargon, no euphemism. If something is changing, you will hear it said directly, and you will hear it early.
Your way of doing things
The dishes go where they go. Dinner is what they have always eaten. We learn the household instead of reorganizing it.
What the first conversation is like
No sales pitch. Mostly questions.
We ask what a normal day looks like now, what has changed recently, who else is helping, and what you would want off your plate first. Then we tell you what we can do, what we cannot, and roughly what it would take. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
